I also laughed out loud when he said he didn’t know Jesus came to America. That was classic. I was surprised that he was such a faithful member of the Church. I’ve never listened to his show but it sounds pretty much on the edge of the culture out there. I think he would be a good “faithful” voice to have on your panel (probably the closest thing to a TBM that would come on the podcast).

Anyway enjoyed it. You guys get better every podcast.

It is somewhat interesting that such a traditional Mormon would run that show. I think Richie’s probably largely unfamiliar with the topics discussed in these podcasts and hence wouldn’t be the best participant.

I did enjoy seeing “behind the curtain” of a show that I enjoy on the occasional basis.

Not being Mormon I had to google “Provo Push”. I laughed and laughed and laughed – so funny!
    (if you’re a NeverMo like me http://www.urbandictionary.com/products.php?term=provo%20push&defid=1845655)

But after I stopped laughing I realized that Richie got disfellowshipped for this? Disfellowshipped?

Well it’s just good to know that the LdS Church isn’t legalistic or harsh and is gracious and understanding when one errs or makes simple (and common) youthful blunder.

    NOT!

Richie from the outside looking in the word for the type of treatment (and in public no less) that you received at the hands of these so-called men of God was utterly ridiculous!

It’s also unBiblical: Here’s what Paul had to say about such things:

    Galatians 6:1
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

I could say more on this but I’ll stop there.
