Mormon Expression Community

The Mormon Expression community is a loose affiliation of like minded individuals who enjoy gathering for social support. We recognize that those who either leave the Church or struggle with the traditional orthodox models of belief and behavior can find comfort and support from others who have walked the same path. Members of the Mormon Expression community tend to eschew titles, and often do not like to define themselves in relationship to the Church.

ME events do not follow the pattern of the Church. There are no prayers or hymns. It is purely for building friendships and community networking. We seek to build a life after faith upon the foundation of our shared history. Those who have never been members of the Mormon faith are always welcome at any event.

We encourage everyone who has experienced a transition of belief to reach out to others around them in an informal way. Participation in the community requires nothing more than tolerance for others and tolerance for the same levels of criticism of the Church that is routinely expressed on the podcast.  Those who find themselves often offended by critical thinking or by expression of independent thought might be uncomfortable at these gatherings.

Face Book

There are two communities available on Facebook, The Mormon Expression Podcast Community is public and anyone can read the posts and see the members. The other, is private. The board can only be read by members, although anyone can see who members are. This group is called the Mormon Expression VIP Lounge and is the more active of the two. In this group, you can interact with the personalities of the podcast and see what is going on in the community. It is also a great place to connect with other listeners.
