Glenn interviews Christa and Ryan Evans about psychic abilities and Mormonism.
Podcast: Play in new window
By Heather C.
Well, I just had a very weird podcast experience. As a former Hindu and New-Ager, I could barely get through this episode. This must be what the former Mormons feel like listening to Mike, who has never bothered me at all. It’s really hard to listen intellectually to the stuff you’ve got a negative emotional response to.
I’m a little too long in the tooth to go in for much New Age spirituality. I’m waiting for the podcast on Old Age spirituality.
I really enjoyed that podcast. It is fun to see all the different points of view from all different kinds of Mormons. I haven’t heard a podcast with this type of interview on either of the John’s yet. I am skeptical, but it is fun to hear other points of view
now i feel bad for walking around YMCAs telling swimmers to join the mormon church then running away
fascinating. utterly fascinating….i dont know what to think…
That must have been one heck of a head injury.
I for on have no problem with this couple. I believe in spiritual gifts. Thank you for this podcast. Can you post the link to Christa’s web site?
Thank you for your kind words. My website is http://www.earthsongcirclehealing.com
I have had almost identical experiences and gifts as Christa. I too was spiritually inclined as a child, heard ghosts and such – then shut it off in favor of a more intellectual approach to life. Then I converted to the LDS church at 17 years old. I left the church for a while and took on a Guru and spiritual pursuit through Kundalini Maha Yoga. I too would leave my body frequently and it helped me to deal with the empathic and psychic abilities of seeing the other realms. I came back to the LDS church even more powerfully. I feel as though I see Joseph Smith in a different way, Joseph Smith history, including the deeper doctrine of the church. I recently even gave a talk to the Young Men on how the church is really all inclusive – not exclusive. It is people’s perceptions that is exclusive – but not the doctrine of what Joseph received and this church is founded on. A friend of mine sent me this podcast because of knowing my experiences, and I am glad he did. I am somewhat awestruck to hear Christa speak, as if hearing a reflection of myself as well and I am so deeply appreciative of her willingness to share openly her experience.
I am wondering if Christa is willing to chat. I can relate closely to her experiences and have never found anyone else who is willing to talk about it. Do you know how I could get a hold of her?
